The Nightingale

Have you ever wondered why the nightingale sings so sweetly at night?

A long time ago, there was an old man who lived near the forest. He was a hunter by trade, so he often ventured into the forest to hunt. But beyond hunting, he also enjoyed music.

The old man would bring his komuz with him every time he went for a hunt. He would listen to the birds singing and get inspired by their melodies. But the old man was the best musician of all.

One day the nightingale sat down next to the old man. “Sir, could you please teach me those beautiful melodies you’re singing?” The old man was happy to make music with the nightingale.

The nightingale loved music just like the old man, and quickly became a very talented and passionate singer. One day he asked, “How can I make the best music?”

The old man wisely replied, “The best music is shared with other people. When you sing, everybody is at work. They don’t get a chance to hear you or share your music.”

From then on the nightingale took the old man’s advice, singing only at night so that everyone could hear his music.
